1/15/11 Breathtaking Proposal #15

The BIG PROPOSAL
HOW BIG? BILLBOARD BIG!

Of course this isn’t really too original and not romantic by itself.

You have to figure what to put on it and what to say.

Suggestions:
·         It’s probably safer/cheaper to just have text. Just in case you choose a bad photo or that person doesn’t like their face blown up for the world to see.
·         (Or if she/he says no and you’re stuck with a billboard with your face on it.)
·         Also, just in case some kids got bored and feel like give you or your partner a uni-brow.
Unless you're confident in your looks. I suggest hiring a great photographer with amazing photoshop abilities to assist you.

One way:
·         Play a game a couple weeks or months before the planned event.
·         The game will consist of looking for something.

One week it could be... “Look for something” (Sort of like I spy with my little eye….)
·         A building you’ll like to live in
·         A person that looks like your partner
·         A car that could fit your entire family
·         A hot pink (Or the color you chose to be the background color of your billboard) billboard

The billboard is more of a “ta da” moment.
You can’t just use it as the proposal.
Yes it costs a lot of money but where’s the real effort?
You have to build up to it.
Try using any of the other proposals to get you to this point.

OR Perhaps:
·         A photo date: a nice stroll around the city while you’re taking pictures with each other.
·         A movie and dinner
·         After a visit from your friends and family. A night of fun that leads to an adventure out into the city for a scavenger hunt that leads up to the billboard.
·         There are many possibilities.

Location:
·         May be close to their work place.
·         Close to the house/apartment.
·         On the highway to work/dinner/event/etc.

Frugal Option:
Ask a jeweler company that often uses billboards to advertise; to pay for the billboard as a promotional gimmick for news coverage. Plus it’ll help with their good will with the community to help a romantic couple get engaged.
