1/11/11 Breathtaking Proposal #11

The Cinderella Proposal

This is similar to the first proposal on 1/1/11. Since it is 1/11/11, I thought it’ll be a nice correlation.

Rights reserved by Annie Leibovit and Disney.

Start of the night:

·         Have a limo pick up your partner from work or you’re their house.
o   Frugal Tip: You can rent a premium car and have your friend dressed in a tuxedo be the “chauffeur.”

·         Have a close friend escort your partner as their “Fairy Godmother/father.”

·         The limo takes them to the beauty salon for a magical make over. (Make-up, Nails, & Hair.)

·         The limo then takes them to the”Evening Wear” store where there are 3 pre-selected dresses/suits.

·         Have the staff assist your partner in picking out which outfit would be the best fit.

·         The “Fairy Godmother/father” gives your partner the finishing touches; a masquerade mask and directions on what to do next.

o   The “Fairy Godmother/father” tells your partner now that they’ve been invited to the ball by the Queen and King. The Prince/Princess (you) is looking to dance with a fair maiden/knight.

·         The limo takes your partner to a venue (ballroom or even a castle!); beautiful enough to be the King & Queen’s ball in the Cinderella story.

o   It would be magical if you could organize a masquerade ball with actual matching outfits but a black tie event is fine too.

·         As your partner walks in (the “Fairy Godmother/father” notified the event planner) and the room goes quiet.

o   The spotlight is on them as they prepare for their slow motion entrance and an introduction by the DJ.

·         The other spotlight is on the Prince/Princess (you).

·         Your task now is to clear the room to get to your partner.

·         You ask them to dance as your song starts to play.

·         You dance for what seems like hours.

·         Ask to speak to them outside.

·         You both walk outside to a garden lit up with brilliant lights.

·         You seat them down and convey your heart’s desire about how their love made you believe in fairy tales and how you want your “happily ever after” to start right away.

·         Get on one knee and propose with a ring box inside a high heel. (Doesn’t have to be glass but if you can get one from Disney; that’ll be great.)

·         As they nod in complete acceptance, fireworks blast in the background as the ballroom cheers.

Tip:

Perhaps this could become a reality with the assistance of the media.

Organize a Masquerade ball perhaps for a New Year’s Eve party in the city. The promotional tagline will be that the Prince/Princess will is ready to propose to his/her Prince/Princess and would like to invite you all to witness a fairytale come true.

The entrance fees/tickets for the ball can help cover the cost of the event. Have the Prince/Princess’s identity be a secret (let the public know that it’s not a real royal ball but a theme.)
